Having grown up in Southern California surfing daily and snowboarding on the weekends in less than stellar snow, I remember vividly my first trip to Utah riding real mountains and pow. It transformed me and I moved to Utah as soon as I turned 18.

Fast forward nearly a decade into my time on snow, competing in big mountain contests, building side-country kickers, lapping the park, I desired something more. I found splitboarding in 2006 and never looked back. 

Since then I've been putting 100+ days in per year, all human powered and it's been the greatest gift. Here's a few details about my time riding a split.
